Your Questions, Answered

What are the main pathways to immigrate to Canada?

Canada offers several immigration pathways, including Express Entry (Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class), Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), family sponsorship, study permits, work permits, and business or investor programs.

How does the Express Entry system work?

Express Entry is a point-based system used to manage permanent residence applications for skilled workers. Candidates are ranked through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on age, education, work experience, language ability, and other factors. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence.

Can I apply for permanent residence while working or studying in Canada?

Yes. Many temporary foreign workers and international students become eligible for permanent residence through programs like the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or certain Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)

How long does it take to process an immigration application?

Processing times vary depending on the program and the applicant’s country of origin. For example, Express Entry applications typically take around six months after you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), but other programs may take longer.

Do I need a lawyer or consultant to submit an immigration application?

While you can submit an application on your own, working with a licensed immigration lawyer ensures your case is properly prepared and that all requirements are accurately met—reducing the risk of delays or refusals.

How can I book a consultation with your firm?

You can schedule a consultation by calling our office directly or completing our online consultation form. We’ll review your situation and provide tailored legal guidance on the best immigration pathway for you.
